I have tickets for the event tomorrow and the time is at 5:00 p.m. The Center has also been designated as a disaster site. Is the meeting still on? JCD

Question for your session: I hear that the oil companies plan to drill near a section line and drill horzontially on to the adjoining section as well as the section where the well is located. Is it a good idea to add a note to your lease that there will be no horizontal drilling on your land unless the well is located in your section?
I do not feel it is fair that they drill horizontally without you receiving your % of royalties on anything extracted from your land. Is this info wrong? Please advise if possible or please answer this in your meeting on August 31. My wife and I plan to attend. Thanks!

I hope that a proficient note taker or two in the audience might be willing to post on GHS.com the highlights of this People's Law School seminar. I know that those absentee landowners among us would be most grateful.
Best to all of you!
