Leasing land that someone else owns part mineral rights
My father-in-law just signed lease on his land for $400.00 per acre when leases are going for over $5000.00 all around the area.
The landman and also a attorney told him he had NO CHOICE but sign as the lady that had the other half of the minerals had already signed for the $400.00

There's always a choice. For a measley $400.00 per acre you can force pool me.

The landman lied, unless he had more than 50% of the minerals leased, and even then it does not matter if there is a drillsite.
