Sounds like they are having some issues drilling this well, but can anyone interpret what this means?

Drld is drilled

Tiih is trip in hole
Tof is top of fish
Pooh is Pull out of hole
L/d is lay down
basically it looks like they lost the bha in the well. Twisted off of it . They were able to get part of it out. Now they are trying to get the rest of the Bha out of the well.

I have been told that they have decided to pull the plug on this one. Got this info late Friday afternoon

The final decision hasn't been made yet Frankie but it's looking that way. Or hadn't as of yesterday. They couldn't make the turn. If you see them tearing down the rig today then we'll know for sure.

Thanks I don,t think this will be that big of a set back I would really like to know if and when Anadarko is going to drill another well close to th Doninique????????

I reckon the size of the setback depends on what direction you're looking at it from. From where I sit it bites! Ha!

I'm still waiting on Pryme. I still have a few brown hairs left that'll turn grey while I'm waiting! ;-)

It'll be interesting to see which direction Atinum goes if they shut this one down. I had heard that Anadarko was done until next year but I don't know how reliable that intel is.

Next year.... as in ten days away?

Two more shopping days 'til Christmas! :-o

Still haven't heard a decision yet Frankie but they have been flaring gas for two weeks now. They hit oil and pressure bigtime so it's still not clear what they will do. They even lost the fish. If they can clear the booger they could possibly produce it as a vertical with what they've hit. Or plug it, move over and start all over. Who knows? They are in a serious play out there though. Nightmare drill that one has been.

Indigo 16: P&A

01/03/2012 CONTROL LOST CIRC; LOGGED WELL; 7 5/8" CSG COLLAPSED; TOF @ 15020'; SET CMT PLUGS; P&A WELL; Link

Oh well...

They are moving over 40' and starting again. They are in a serious play out there but couldn't handle the pressure. Atinum tried like the dickens to clear the hole and produce it as a vertical but lost the fish to boot. It'll be interesting to watch the new drill.

Watt - what's your source? Do have someone on the ground there? This might actually translate into good news for the whole area.
