CW and ruth, would you provide some location detail?  The section-township-range would be helpful.  Also the basic lease terms offered by Woodland.

25-16-4

2,500/acre with 1/4

Thanks, CW.  That's a very aggressive offer for that area.  Is it just an offer at this point or have you finalized a lease with Woodland?

I leased mine in july, I am in section 29

Received offer via e-mail today (Aug 6th) from Landman representing LouTex Sovereign, LLC.

Property located: Sec 8, T16N, R2W

1,500 + 1/4 Royalty -- 3 Yrs

1,000 Add'l 2 Yr Option

Lease presently being reviewed by professional . . . . .

Get the services of an experienced O&G attorney.  Not just any attorney will do.  A hard lesson learned by far too many land owners in the early years of the Haynesville Shale.

I have some property in that area. Would you mind sending me the contact info for the Landman?  I think you can do a private message.

I also got $2500/acre with 1/4.  Township 15 Range 4 Section 11.

Laura, Township row 15N is awful far south of the current activity.  Please check it an confirm.  I think it should to be 18 to 16 North.

Hi Skip,

It is funny in all the leases we have done the oil lease will say one thing and my timber management will say another???

The oil lease says Township 15 North Range 4 west Section 11.

My timber management says T14N-R1W

Both are a long way from any permitted or drilling wells.  Neither is close to the over pressured wet gas production in Lincoln Parish.  Are you referring to an offer to lease or have you actually executed a lease? If so, please post the name of the lessee.
