Skip - thank you for the information that you put together - without it I must admit I would be totally in the dark. Looking at the results, WRM contacted me initially but when I signed my lease it was with Antrim Exploration LLC. I can see my acreage listed and Antrim and North Louisiana Exploration is the bidder - so is this just public notice that WRM sold my lease to Antrim and NLA Exploration?

The tracts in the monthly state mineral auction represent minerals owned by the state, local municipalities and other public entities such as levee districts and school boards. There are no private minerals included, so no, your tract is not among those listed. WRM has a number of "land companies" taking leases, and in this case bidding on state mineral tracts, on their behalf. When these state leases are recorded in the public records of Lincoln Parish, the lessee will be WRM. Antrim and North Louisiana Exploration, owned by the same individual, will have "assigned" the state leases to WRM. You lease will be recorded with Antrim as the lessee and at some later date there will be an assignment recorded evidencing the assignment of your lease and other leases from Antrim to WRM.
