Fracing companies on Northern Louisiana (Union, Claiborne, Lincoln Parishes)

Been working on several projects involing fracing companies in north Louisiana and the feasibility of bring the sand in by rail.  Currently the LNW RR is doing some around Homer,LA for Kinder Morgan.  Here's my Question, what other fracing companies are working/ looking to start in this area and where?

I've heard that there are some railroad companies that may start leasing property in north LA. Is this for right of ways in order to lay down rail which would carry in sand and carry oil out?

Normally, Railroad ROW is 100 ft wide (50 ft from center) but sometimes it is more or less around towns.  In the past, RR's would lease their ROW to gaslines, powerlines, and phone companys to run their cables and pipelines.  Based on the 100 ft width, there is about 17 acres to the track mile of property along the  line.

I can only speak for the railroad where I work but there is normally enough room on the RR ROW to locate a siding to lay track to handle inbound sand and outbound oil.  Additionally, the railroads usual know who our adjacent landowners are and which one's would be willing to sell or lease property to allow a outfit to locate and operate from.

I hope this answers your question.

Union Parish - seems to be poised for activity- it's been too quiet ...
