GDP is vulnerable to deteriorating market conditions on a number of levels.  They can 't borrow and their effort to issue additional stock is meeting resistance from investors who will see their existing shares diluted.  They may keep one rig running to help with cash flow but will have to fund extensions in the leases they have not drilled and wish to maintain.  The latest plan is to hold 150,000 acres through a combination of the two approaches and allow some leases to expire at the end of the primary term.

What is happening?  I was just looking a GDP stock reports at Fidelity Investments and it does not look good for them.  With the price of oil at $50 a barrel, their price per share on the NYSE is in the $3 to $4 dollar range.  It appears they are hanging on by a thread.  So I suspect there is little or no activity ala Tuscaloosa Marine Shale.

You can't get close to the SLC due to an attendant at the gate but you might be able to see the flare from that point. I am told it is in excess of 20 ft. which is as much a flare as the best well flares I have seen yet. It is as tall as any of the Anderson or 1st Foster Creek well's flares. No idea of flow rate yet -  plug drilling equipment just left site on Saturday so we are in early flow back.

Thank you, Steve! Definitely praying for the very best outcome for that well, and all of them. Thinking I just might take a ride to that part of the parish this evening to see what I can see. 8-)

Reports of a very nice gas flare at the Goodrich SLC in the northeastern part of W. Fel Parish. Visible from outer space I am told. Lets just pray it is not a gas only well.

Seeing Wells,  There are a half dozen or so unit applications approved in W. Fel  but no new well permits yet - other than the Goodrich SLC(being fracked now) and the Walker(operator?) well which should be spud  very soon. GDP has a unit application next to the old Devon Murphy well and Halcon has 3 units it took over from Encana (in the Mulberry Hill area generally) and there other are units formed near the Walker well.  There is only one other well pad already built that I know of (other than the Walker site) and that is on the Hamilton Willis property (not in any formed unit yet) - it was built by Encana 2 years ago and is now owned by Halcon - HK hasn't put it on a spud calendar yet but they did recently renew the lease.

Curious George,   I don't know if it is allowed here or maybe would just be impolite for me to send links to other websites from this site  - but, you can simply Google search "Kirk Barrel" and then click on the 1st listing and it will bring you to his June 23 blog post - the quotes are in the body of his post.

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU! I understand there are more wells being drilled (by word of mouth) than there are located on the map I saw in June... now to go figure out how I found it before ;-)
