Melonie , If you never heard of Elsie Ballard whos father was a Higdon ask some of your older relatives if they are still alive and please get back with me. Can you tell me the names of the Higdons that lived up on Old Plain Dealing Rd ? The parents names and the kids names? I seem to remember them having a dark complexion. The girl had long dark hair. The house sat up high on the East side of the road with a big front porch. Again , if you cant remember Mrs Ballard please ask a relative who may have known them if some of the elders are still around. Jed

Did you ever know this Higdon , Her maiden name was Elsie Wingert but her daddy was a Higdon. Wingert was her step dad. Her mother Annee Wingert was a King but married a Higdon before marrying a Wingert. Elsie married a Ballard that was raised on the Ballard Rd. She divorced Ballard in 71 or so and passed away in 73. There also were some Higdons just up in Ark that raised peas. His name may have been Guy and his wifes name was Lucille Higdon. Did you ever know or hear of Elsie Wingert Ballard who's real father was a Higdon ? Jed

Have you ever known a Higdon named Snookie or Sonny Boy , Guy ? There were some Higdons that lived up on the Old Plain Dealing Hwy close to PD. They had a son and a daughter but cant remember there names. The kids should be around 50 or so now. Jed

I knew some Martinez many years ago that lived off of Old Plain Dealing Rd. on Ballard Rd. The grandfather owned a store between Benton and Bossier on Hwy 3 .Do you know them ? Jed
