I saw this article on Louisiana this morning. Louisiana has been ranked as the happiest state. Hmmm. Is it the shale or the saints? Though, they do say the data was collected before Hurricane Katrina.

Having resided in more than a few of these, and only 1 is in the top 10, 2 in the first 25, and a third in the lower 10, I'd say that regardless of when the data was collected, it's still valid. ha, ha, ha 80)

If the report is pre-Katrina, it is also pre-Shale. And if Shale = Happiness, our friends in Texas should rank higher than 16. Texas has two shale plays and a lot of citizens with job security and opportunity based on TX. based energy companies exploiting the shale.
