I am expecting my first grandchild in a few weeks. Always kill them with kindness. My maternal Grandmother who was probably the person that had the biggest influence over my life said "you will draw more flies with honey than vinegar!"

Don't forget to turn the rooster? I think that would go along with the advice that Wanda's Mother gave her............wash your hands when you wake up!!!

I was always puzzled by the warning given to us by my elders. Don't go near the water "Til" You Learn To" SWIM". Don't forget to turn the rooster!

My Mother was a very wonderful woman, she had friends of all ages. She was our best friend. She has been dead going on 15yrs,but there are so many things I remember her teaching us.The one thing that I have told my kids that she taught us is, Always wash your face and hands when you wake up because you don't know where your hands were during the night. And she always taught us to treat others the way we would want them to treat us,and I have lived by that.

My mom has always told me to take the high road. That bit of advice has always served me well.
My Dad who passed away Oct 2007 never gave me that much advise. What meant much more to me was the way he lived his life.

I was always told by both of my parents you always say Yes Sir or No sir no matter what! You speak to your elder with respect. and to always remembers words can haunt you.. My grandmother was the best and she always would tell us growing up that no matter what always be kind to others...
