How are the zones stacked in southern half of Bossier Parish?

I'm a newbie and I'm trying to figure out if the Haynesville Shale (such as found in the Elm Grove field), is the same as the Lower Cotton Valley formation. How are the producing zones in the field stacked from to top to bottom? Best I can make out, and I'm totally guessing, is that it goes like this from T to B: Tuscaloosa, Sligo, Hosston, Bossier shale, Cotton Valley (B, C, D, Bodcaw etc.), Lower Cotton Valley (sometimes called Lower Cotton Valley Taylor? and sometimes called Haynesville Shale) then the Buckner then the Smackover? Again, the biggest question is whether the Haynesville Shale is sometimes called the Lower Cotton Valley ??? And is there any zone that is sometimes found between the Cotton Valley and the Lower Cotton Valley???

Our resident geologist jumped ship last night but hopefully will be back aboard before long. However I will take a gander on this question because its a good one and I am quite supprised that someone hasn't tackled it as of yet.

I understand that the contours of the different formations are not on the same plain nor same depth throughout this region. But , when you see info in the paper about well completions that are CV yet are much deeper then previous CV depths it makes me wonder how this is so. Is this slight of hand. If a company wanted to keep it a secret what they were doing , wouldn't it make sense to try and confuse or out and out lie about what they were doing . Then again maybe it is the norm for guards to be posted on Cotton Valley Formation Wells .

There is nothing between the CV and Lower CV, and in reality the Bossier is below the Lower CV (but depends on where it is being defined), and is really part of the upper Haynesville series. Quite confusing. But don't get really caught up in names, it all depends in what field you are in.
