Sonris shows Chesapeake received a permit on 9/14/2010 to drill a HA well Serial No. 242013 in Section 5 of T9N-R12W.  I am out of state and would very much appreciate any updates or activity pertaining to this permit.

Waltcop, I live on sistrunk loop and have not seen any work going on where the pad is supposed to be. but across line in sec 4 chk has a pad 700 ft north of the jimmy ray brown well in sec 9 but no permit as of yet that i know of. I also saw the permit for sec 5 on sonris and have been looking for activity but none so far
I was told things were fixing to get underway!
Here's the permit, showing the location of the well. Good luck waltcop. You deserve a good one.

I thank all of you for the info and your quick response. I grew up in Mitchell and cut many bales of hay all around the Sistrunk loop and know that a lot of fine folks live there. And now on the GHS site I have found many GREAT and wonderful folks that have been so helpful in me understanding some of the in's and out's, do's and don't of the O & G business. Henry, I appreciate the address to download my permit.....it has been 60 years, however, since the names matched the tracts as shown on the map LOL, but the drill site is IMHO in the best location for section 5. Looking forward to good days ahead for all in Sabine and DeSoto Parishes. Thanks again and please keep us informed.
waltcop,
All this time I thought you were a policeman! (walt "cop"). After seeing your permit, I learned differently. I think you're in a great location. Let's all hope you, and the others in that section, get a great well.
Henry, don't tell anyone differently, LOL. I used "waltcop" when I played Hearts, Spades and Bridge online and more than once did it fool people into cleaning up their language when I signed on to the game. BTW where do I find the permit data like that you attached of mine. I thank you very much for doing that, I did not know it was available online.
Walt,
Go to sonris, and on the left-hand side, about half-way down, you'll see, "Document Access." Click on that. Under "Criteria," click on "Permitting."

Scroll down to the bottom, and highlight "Well Permit to Drill / Amend." Click "Next."

Then, go to the right-hand side, and enter your well's serial number, and hit "Search."

I don't know if there is a better way to do this. There is a tutorial button on the first page, right under "Document Access," but I've never done that. Maybe I should.
I haven't been online much lately (been out spending my bonus money LOL) and was wondering if any activity is taking place around Mitchell and/or in the Pleasant Hill Field?
They must be building the pad Waltcop, I hear the dozers banging around over there during the day.(sect. 5)
Ken, the dozers you are hearing are in sec 9 building a pad for three alt wells next to the Jimmy BROWN well, I went by where they are going to build pad for sec 5 today and no activity yet
Thanks guys for the update.
Waltcop, Ken was right, they have started location in sec 5. missed it some how yesterday
