Any news about CV RA SUD;PH 8-13-7 H ? The last post on Sonris was in January..."waiting on pipeline." Sounds like there is some activity still in Ashland, but no movement on this well. I'd appreciate any news.

Wished I could add something but I do not know anything other than the fact they keep building wellsites and doing surveys for them.  All I know is what is on SONRIS about the wells.  I would hope information would coming in before long.

Marc

I heard they are seriously considering three wells in Golddonna area

Hey Natch,

Are they talking shale wells?

I thought I would add some news to the discussion today.  Hope everyone had a good July 4!!.

Another site is being built in Sec.7 T13N R7W in Ashland.  Rumor which I hate quoting is the site is being done by Encana not CHK.  The construction is underway that is for sure.  As to who is drilling I  can't say for sure.  I hope someone can shed light on this.

Marc:

I can only repeat what I was told.  In other words, I don't know if the "hearsay" that I'm getting from someone living near Ashland is correct or not.

The tree cutting in section 7, in two locations, are folks selling timber.  My source said that he "thought" that these cuts (at least one being a clear-cut) -- didn't have anything to do with a pad at all.

Now, yes -- over a year ago there had been "gossip" of EnCana staking for a pad in yet another section near there, i.e., in 13 13N 8W . . . but the facts were hard to nail done.  So, yes, a deal between EnCana and CHK, with EnCana doing a farm-in -- has been rumored for quite sometime, but no one ever could confirm it was, in fact, true.

Also, as I understand it, CHK has inked the paperwork on all the land they need to put the pipeline into their Ashland wells which they've already drilled to date -- but the hearsay is that the EPA is delaying CHK's award of the pipeline contract.  Word was, CHK was just about to put out bids on the pipeline, but then the EPA stepped in to hold up the bidding (this talk coming from CHK), saying the EPA wanted to do an "air test" on the pumping station in RR Parish where that Ashland gathering line will feed into.

Now, from what little I know about all of this, I would assume that the EPA delay is nothing more than a formality.  And I would assume this because I've not heard of the EPA holding up any other pipelines in the HA Shale before.  So, if my assumption is correct, and if CHK is motivated to actually go forward with the pipeline, as logic would dictate, then maybe when the pipeline is completed and the Ashland wells are hooked into it, we'll know more IP facts.  As of right now, my contacts know of no leasing going on in and around Ashland.  A number of landowners have come out of lease, and there's hundreds of acres now not under lease in several the sections next to and west of the CHK wells.

Note: About 5 miles due west are some very good wells in RR Parish drilled by EnCana.  So, not being a geologist, the question is . . . is the shale productive all the way from those proven wells in RR to the CHK wells around Ashland?

If I offered my opinion, that's all it would be.  But applying scientific logic, and assuming the "dip" isn't an issue -- I think you can guess what I think.

Hope this helps.

Hi GoshDarn

The EPA stuff makes sense to me.  I hope the permit gets done soon and then the wells get put on and we can end some of this rumor junk!! I think we both have been getting to much "hearsay" from contacts.  At least we have both sides of the coin covered on the sec 7 stuff. HA!!HA!!  As always thanks for the update.

Marc

GD,

Good info. Thanks.

Can you elaborate???

The site is being cleared off.  My post is about all I know.  I wish I could "elaborate" more but that is all I know.

Marc

Sorry Marc, I meant could Natch N3 elaborate about the three wells in Goldonna.  I don't know why it put my response under yours.

Highwayman,

I'm like you. What are the details.
