I looked up natural gas price on google and get sites like bloomberg that list the current natural gas.  But, is there a difference in that price and what the East Texas  area Haynesville Shale wells are selling the gas?  i.e. wellhead price??

Oh  just reread Les's figures..Does that mean that if well head price is $3.93 at end of month then the market price is 12 cents above that?

KOH, the $3.93 was for December NYMEX gas contract (not wellhead) but is not relevant until expiration price of the December contract occurs near the end of November.  Any value shown before then for the December contract will constantly change and is not relevant.

Once the expiration price for the December NYMEX contract is known, then you could subtract 12 cents to get an approximate market area price for East Texas pipelines.  Further deductions from that may be required to get a wellhead price.

By the way, the October NYMEX contract expired at $3.524 so East Texas area market price would be ~ $3.40/MMBtu.

I watch the site daily...guess I need a life?

Samson did the road, pad, pits on my place then pulled out..then I read on site they looking to sell company or get partner.. Land man says they are going to drill 3 wells on my place.  But.....he didn't mention they were selling.  I am in waiting to see what going to happen mode now.

Just as soon the gas stays in the ground as to sell for $3.50

and people wonder why I a Krankyoldhag.

You doing a great job on this site.  Thank you.  Don't know if you realize what a help having access to your info is to me.
