my guess: they're too busy to read the boards. chk ceo said that the hs is probably 3.1 million acres total. to date, about half of that is under lease by any of 10 companies seeking leases. chk is the leader with 550,000 acres... and they plan to add more.

We are in T10N R11W section 11, have leased to Chesapeake, I do not want to discuss the particulars of our deal, but $8,000- $10,000, per acre with 25% at this time is not a problem. I would however wait until the Shell/Murray well in section 31 of this township is completed. It is a vertical well down to around 11,600' and being logged at this time. If this is a really good well, which some believe it will be, it will move the southern border of the shale even further South. I belive Shell Western has permits for at least 6 more wells in this township. These and the Messenger well should really help define the lease value in the Ajax, Wallace, Allen, Pleasant Hill area.
