That seems high but is possible (I guess).

I could see a 1500 HP top drive.

Companies listed are all former or current operators in the LA Austin Chalk Play.

There's a slogan: "Don't Mess with Texas." Maybe there should also be another one: "Don't Mess with Rex."

Exactly, and never forget “Screw You, We’re From Texas.”

But, Rex took the high ground by saying, "This can be a very mean-spirited town ... But you don't have to choose to participate in that."

an article about the austin chalk by DNR Louisiana  I just stumbled on it a few minutes ago

http://www.dnr.louisiana.gov/index.cfm?md=pagebuilder&tmp=home&pid=1442

Lots of sugar coating on that.

Sugar coating maybe by the DNR TO PROMOTE THE PLAY!!

I just wish EOG and Torrent would move on planned/permitted wells!

we all want to see more action and less talk with all the leasing coming to an end in our areas!

some are even skeptical that leasing is getting cancelled!

Don't make hasty judgements about leasing.  Have a little patience.  We are only seeing bits and pieces of the action.

At the cost of these wells, "slow moving" is the rule until operators have some positive track record and a lot more confidence in well results and economics.

Remember that this is an "exploration" play in the AC this time around in Louisiana.

Caution is the word as to operator movement on putting holes in the ground
