We received two notices of plans to unitize sections in T9N- R12W. One in November of 2007 for 16 units (9 were in T9N-R12W) and one in August 2008 for 25 units (6 were in T9N-R12W) for the purpose of drilling, production and exploration. The proposed units included sections 13,14,15, 16, 31, 32 (Aug 08) 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36 (Nov 07). See attached diagram. Does anyone have information on other sections in T9N-R12W that have been unitized (or proposed to be unitized)? If so, please share so we can see how much of the township has been unitized? To my knowledge that is 15 out of 36.

Thanks Louis, that is very helpful. I live out of state and rely on this site for updates........plus I am oil/gas illiterate, so please keep us posted on what is going on around Mitchell. I have mineral interest on three separate tracks there and received an offer from XTO last June but still have not heard or received anything from them. They wanted 60 days to do title work, then they needed more time because the person handling our offer was on maternity leave. We were told that she was back but still no money.
Louis,
Am I doing something wrong or did they change how you get to the location where you can see sections being submitted for unitizing? I think I found it back in Dec. 2008 but can't find it now.
Does anyone know how you find out the results of unitization meetings in Baton Rouge? The meeting for these sections was to be held on November 13
I would like to know the results of the Nov 13 unitization meetings as well as any other update in or around Mitchell/Converse/Pleasant Hill.
Tom Graves, did you check out the info in "msfva" post dated Sept 19, 2008 regarding an old lease and whether or not you can claim the deep rights? I have interest in 3 separate tracts in 5-9-12 and was wondering if we are unitized also if you are. Section 5 is not shown to be unitized yet, but if you find out that you are, and have been all these years, then I guess all of us in section 5 are, right?
Does anybody have any new information when or if they will be drilling around sec36 t9-r12. I'm within a mile of Natchitoches-sabine parish line on 120 out of marthaville
Bagger if you are within one mile of Natchitoches Parish You are not in Range 12.
Sec 36 T9n R11w lays up to the Natchitoches Parish Line. R12 Is 6 miles to the west.
Bagger, no new well permits in your area at this time.
Hello dixie, are you still out there? Is this still current? thanks
Ken,
My records show the following for 9N, 12W:

Secs 3 and 13 now have drilling permits filed by Encana.

SWEPI has unitized Secs 1, 3, 6, 8-16,22-27, 31, 32, and 34 - 36.

If I'm wrong, or not up to date, someone will soon correct me.
Thank's for your input henry...her revised map is current it would appear.
I'm still here Ken. I check the DNR site under the hearings section from time to time to see if any new sections are up for unitization. I have not seen any as of yet. I know that T9N-R12W has the San Miguel Creek Field, Bayou San Miguel Field and maybe the Pleasant Hill field (not sure about that one). If anyone knows the names of any other fields I should be on the lookout for in T9N-R12W, please let me know. I have not received any unitization letters of late nor have I heard of anyone receiveing a unitization letter for this T & R. Hopefully, if someone in one of the non-unitized sections receives a letter they will post about it.
So the answer would be yes, it is current. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
