Trisha, it will likely take 3-4 more weeks to drill the lateral. At this time there are no more permitted Haynesville Shale wells in T14N-R9W but that could change quickly based on this well's results.

Thanks Les B., I know you will be so glad when " You and I " have finished drilling this well!!
Now, do you have a " guess " of how much longer it will take to drill horizontal? Does it take as long as the vertical? I know the crews are working diligently to get the pipeline laid and ready. It's just getting exciting!! ( Okay, it's been exciting all along! )
Have there been anymore wells permitted in Section 30 or even in 31?
Thanks

Trisha, Samson drilled vertically thru the Haynesville Shale with a core barrel so they could take a core sample of the formation for evaluation. Now they have plugged back (cemented) that lowest section of the well in preparation for building the curve and drilling the horizontal lateral.
