Rumor has it PetroHawk has a HS (vertical) dry hole in DeSoto Parish close to the Caddo Parish line. Unsubstantiated at this point and it could just be a ploy.

Has anybody heard more???

Mark-

Thank you for highlighting. Can you confirm whether you are a landman, or whether you are employed by an oil and gas company?
Mark:

Not all of us landowners are as cynical as Earl but any information that you can provide such as section, township and range would be helpful so that this can be verified on SONRIS.
As stated it is RUMOR!!! As further stated is could be just a ploy!!! I hope it is just rumor and a ploy.

SONRIS is not going to have anything about a well (as far as DH or completion data) that is real current so don't expect to discover anything for a while.

Location about in the center of 15N/14W.
Mark, thank you for trying to help us out, I do appreciate it. If the well is supposed to be near the Caddo/DeSoto Parish line, the closer you get to the center of 15n, 14w, the further you get from the parish line. I know because that is where I live. Could it be a well in 15n, 13w or 16n, 14w maybe that you heard the rumor about? Camterra has a vertical Haynesville in 16n, 14 w that is only producing about 2,500 mcf PER MONTH. Not dry but pretty low. It is my understanding that the well is such a low producer because it was not a horizontal well into the shale. That it is the horizontal laterals through the shale that gives up so much production and that the verticals just aren't going to do it.
Sorry, by close I ment 1-2 miles. I'm not looking at a map presently but I think the center of that township would be within 1-2 miles of the Parish line.
