We got an offer for 19,000. an acre..

We live off Hwy169 and Bumcombe Rd. Does anyone know if this is a good deal? We allowed Fortress Management to neg. the lease for us. We haven't signed yet. The royalties are 25 per-cent. Can anyone tell me if there's been a better offer in my area? I'm being told to hold off for a better price.. Does anyone know the township forthis area??

yes i did.. but the agreement states that i donot have to sign the lease and i won't owe them anything

Because.. if i don't sign the lease agreement,then they don't get their 4%. No lease no fee. I just agreed to let them neg. a price from the oil com.Like i said..they have been very honest and above board.

"Allowed" should be replaced by "Approved" and the discussion of 4% would be moot.
