WPT, it is not technically feasible to re-frac horizontal multi-stage frac'ed wells. The decline in flowing pressure is expected and occurs in both conventional and non-conventional producing formations.

The well on my section #239731 was initially flowing at over 8,000 psi back in September of last year, now it's choked down and flowing at #3300 psi. My question is can they come back in and re-frac and bring the pressure back up. I was counting on this and hopefully some other wells in my section to help me with retirement in the next year or so, but now I am not so confident that much money will seep from these wells. Oh well, I was born poor and I guess I will die poor.

I don't have the production data, but 2nd hand information, but I have a small interest in a Chesapeake well that was completed in March, potentialed at 18.5 MMCF, and am told that it has been producing at no more than 7 MMCF since inception of production. I've not yet gotten a Division Order, so I've also not yet seen any prodution data. There's no production info posted in Sonris under this well (the potential and allowable is posted). My general understanding is that Chesapeake has adopted…

I've tried to keep up with Shell, but it's not easy -- well information is very limited on SONRIS for Shell wells, and the company presentations hardly even acknowledge the Haynesville. You are usually ahead of SONRIS on a lot of this, and I appreciate your contributions to this site.

qwert, you are not misreading. Shell & EnCana keep switching and I still had them listed under Shell because they drilled both wells.

Some of the EnCana & Shell wells placed on production last year were restricted in flow due to downstream capacity issues so I am looking for either some more recent data or statement by Shell.

I was looking at: Dicoese of Shreveport (#238761) which is on 8/64 choke;
Lafitte (#238826) on a 15/64 choke; and Sustainable (#239246) on 8/64 choke.

Les, according to SONRIS, the McCoy 14 and McLemore are both being operated by Encana. Am I misreading this?

Martin,

Chesapeake has used the drilling wells without completing them so they can bring production online at a later date approach on a well in 34-17N-12.

And I thought it was going to make for a good Christmas check. Oh well, I can wait.

Those are some great IP rates though! It would be so cool to have a well in the "hall of fame"!
If Jack's well comes in above 20 mmcf/d he'll buy a megaphone, climb up on his roof and scream "long live the Haynesville Shale!!!" into the megaphone at 6:00 am. Jack lives in town so plenty of folks will be awakened by Jack Blake. Hopefully they won't carry Jack to Pineville.
