I resent you pasting a discussion started by me in the Lincoln Parish Group into this discussion. That discussion has nothing to do with the EASTERN BOUNDARY OF THE HAYNESVILLE SHALE.
DO NOT DRAG ANY OF MY GROUP DISCUSSIONS INTO YOUR GOSSIP FODDER MACHINE.

I am certainly no geologist, but I do know this. Yes, there is shale in the Dowling well at those depths, just as there is shale in every cotton valley or almost every other type wells ever drilled fairly deep. There are layers of shale between almost all sands. If they were not separated by shale or another layer, they would then just be one big sand.
Is a sand always coventional? Also what is meant by the term tight sand reservoir? Thanks for the input in advance.

Did some fracing in Miss. some years ago. pressures were above 16,000 psi. had to use pressuree multipliers on the job. Breakdowns and expense of fracing the well were enormous. By the time is was all said and done, nobody benefited from this well. Well was around 20'000' deep. One of the largest frac jobs I've ever witnessed. never been back.

I haven't gotten involved in the disputes in Lincoln and Claiborne Parish. They don't pertain to me. When I found an article on Haynesville production in Mobile Bay a year ago, Jay explained that it was oil. I found this article while scanning National news articles. I sure had no intentions of adding to the contention between any of you and grayshales.
I didn’t insist that the HS was in Mississippi or that it will be productive anywhere else.

Obviously it is in what they are referring to as the Ark-La_Tex trend (or whatever they chose to call it).
I have never suggested that it is shale. I have over and over said that if it produces gas, it doesn’t matter what they call it.

If gray is wrong so what?

In my opinion, TELL PEOPLE IF THEY ARE AFRAID THE SHALE WILL BE PRODUCTIVE TO EXCLUDE THOSE DEPTHS.
