how do i find out when and/or if a well is being drilled or scheduled to be drilled on acreage for which i have leased the mineral rights? my interest is in the william J. thomas survey, shelby county, texas.

simplest is to call the landsman you leased with or talk to operator of your lease to see if they will share their plans of drilling. If when and if they drill amd make a well you will get division order to be paid. Also learn how to look on line thru the RRC Teaxs web site-- can look up your survey on GIS viewer map and see all the wells in area drilled or permitted to be drilled then can find production of each well after reported to RRC. you will have to learn how to use site they have tutorial on site
