Welcome to "Leased by Devon." The goal with these "Leased by" groups is to provide a place for constructive networking and discussion. For better or worse (I hope for the better), many of us have become business partners with a producer. Now, is the time to initiate helpful discourse. Your success, literally, depends on it. Certainly, criticisms will have a place, but keep it constructive. Thank you. (from Keith M.'s L.B.P. site)

Devon has been criticized by many for its timid approach in the TMS. Their program of short laterals and low # proppant in all its TMS wells has produced lackluster results in comparison to Encana and Goodrich - yet Devon continued to drill and complete numerous wells in the same manner with the same results - now it is rumored that they are pulling out of the TMS. Anyone know why their approach never changed even when others around them were having success with longer laterals and 2-3x the proppant? I realize cost is a factor but if you know these wells are expensive to drill, why continue to drill on the cheap and get poor results while others are doing the opposite all around you?

Asking for information on Devon's Bell 1H in the Alexander H. Gates Survey A251, Shelby County, Texas. Last rumor was it has been permitted, pad in place and drilling scheduled to begin July 24th...would appreciate any info...thanks,

Everyone needs to choke back to get some gas off the market so we can get the price back up to a level that will sustain continued drilling. $4.00 dollar gas is not good for the operator or the royalty owner.
