Interesting news on sonris concerning Crowell lm30h number 251809 -a permit dated 09/16/2020 to perforate/return to production has been approved
Results of that work will be interesting to see. Thanks for posting
Can’t wait to see what happens there.
Its good news with glimmer of hope,.,, but is it economical at $40/oil and $2/gas?
If I remember correctly, there were massive volumes of water being produced daily here. Operating costs to handle this water will be high. An SWD is the only way to even think about producing this well - and that up front capital cost puts a big hit on economics.
Skip - has SONRIS posted info on the SWD's that were drilled in this area (assumingly for this well).?
The Crowell SWD well was permitted June 9 but has not been reported as drilled. Of the three SWD wells listed below only the first, BENTLEY-GLENMORA 31 SWD, is operational. The second SWD well, BENTLEY-GLENMORA 25 SWD, is not reported as drilled also.

Any new input on how this well is doing?

Back on production but still making MASSIVE water volumes. January 2022 was 6100 BWPD / Late March 2022 rate was up to 7880 BWPD. Oil and gas rates dropping over that time as are pressures. Looks like they had to open up the choke on this well to keep if flowing.
I'd watch this well over the next year - don't be surprised if it is shut down again due to economics and lower O&G volumes.
Figure operator opened it back up in January 2022 to take advantage of O&G prices.

Item copied fine from SONRIS but gets distorted once "saved" on this site / cannot fix it.
Top two lines are the critical info
3/30/22 test date / reported 5/1/22
Potential 350 BO, 2650 MCF & 7880 BW per day
4255# flowing pressure on 33/64" choke
Earlier test
1/31/22 test date / 1/31/22 report date
Potential 685 BO, 4250 MCF & 6810 BW per day
7900# flowing pressure on 23/64" choke
Higer rates and pressures after being shut in for extensive period was to be expected. But things dropping quickly.
Decent royalty checks but operator watching their margins very closely here as water goes up and O&G go down. Lease operating expenses - even with SWD well - are probably high. Imagine handling and injecting close to 8000 BW per day (quarter million BW per month). May need another SWD here in time
Doesn't look too good for this Rapides Parish area or maybe just this well. It's been said this area has alot of water and pressure.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
