Marathon got pipe to bottom per my scout report.  Sonris is always a bit behind.

850 feet is a long way

On Crowell, last week they were fishing for stuck pipe at 15.933' -now washing and reaming hole 850' shallower in the wellbore. Without knowing details, it is possible that they did not "unstick" the drill pipe and had to back off and leave fish in hole. Or they got the pipe unstuck, drilled to TD, logged the hole and are now getting ready to plug back and start drilling the lateral.

These weekly reports are great, but they do a lot to the imagination (especially in a situation like this one).

Operator may go deeper or shallower than permitted depth. All depends on when they well through target ( assuming base of AC) and then getting 100-150' of rat hole so that the section can be logged and entire section evaluated.

So they only lacked 15 feet getting to the vertical depth that they wanted before getting stuck. Is that correct?  Then it looks like they had only planned to go an additional 57 feet. Am I correct?  Is that unusual?

Jay, thanks - I should have figured that this was still pilot hole part of program / my error. Even more a concern that they are stuck in vertical hole.
