I cannot find a history of a deep well being drilled in this area at all. there are some older oil and gas wells, but all very shallow. This should help establish this as part of the play, there are many very nice wells a little further north in Shelby. San Augustine is being drilled and permitted just to the West and Sabine Parish has some nice wells and many permits to the East across the lake. It just doesn't make any sense to me that this area hasn't got a lot of O&G under the timber. I don't live near, so anyone that does, who can keep an eye out, please do! This is well within Crimson's map, hope they are right.

That's the ones! I drove up 87 a couple of weeks ago but didn't know the area well enough (late in the evening) to get off the beaten path. Needless to say all I did was burn some gas and didn't see a thing.

There are a total of 4 wells recently permitted in this area. 3 in the J. McAdams survey ( 2 permitted to 7300 ft and called horizontal, oil?? ) and one of them is permitted to 16000 ft horizontal. The deep well is on the North side of Hwy. 87, and the other two ( 7300 ft. ) on the South side. These should be able to be seen from the Hwy, they are about a mile and a half WNW of where the Bourghs creek crosses Hwy. 87. The other 16k ft permitted well is North East about two miles away from these three, in the W. B. Frazier survey. These two deep wells are ones to watch for Sabine county folks IMO. All 4 of these wells are Range Production indeed.

Has anyone seen any activity around the wells permitted by Range last month? New roads, well pad, anything? We need to get this show on the road... the area is NNW of Burroughs Creek.

Target is Saratoga-Annona. They're looking for oil.

JWC, That is the Lacy well that I heard was going in two months ago. Thanks for posting it. I heard that they are working on another pad near this one. East of me about 6-7 miles down in the Six Mile area in south end of county. This is Austin Chalk area so not sure what the target is.
