Does anyone have any updates on Whitton or on the land surrounding it? Just curious as to how the gas lines are looking (size & direction) and if there are any new changes in the area surrounding Whitton? Thanks :-)

Nothing from my world... last we heard was the initial flow... then that it had been reported as producing to TRRC... then 'nada'!
Be nice to hear something from out in Texas... >< ((((( { *,>
March 2010
Total Produced 120,592
Sold 115,976
Used 4,616
Avg Gas MCF/Day 3,890.06
Remember, though... that first month's production was probably not a whole month so a daily average would not be accurate if using 30 days.

Thank you for this information. Can you help me understand it?
TP 120,592 What is the measure?
Sold? Is this viable gas that they made a profit on?
Used? Is this what the lost in trying to get the usable gas?
Avg Gas MCF/Day 3,890.06 Is this good, bad average?
I want to understand all of what is here. Any assistance you can offer is appreciated.
Thanks!
I am with you DEM... I would like to understand a little more about what is happening with the well... D. Gaar posted the report below that I was looking at... we tried to contact Devon to see if they could update, but nothing from them yet. I will post if/when I hear anything else.
DEM, the volume would be measured in thousand cubic feet (Mcf) so the well produced 120,592 Mcf for the month. Of that volume 4,616 was used on lease (primarily fuel) and 115,976 Mcf was delivered into the pipeline which should be the volume for calculating royalty.

As Jffree1 said, you need to have a few months of production data to get a better idea of the well's performance.
Thanks Les. So all a leasee is really concerned about is what is sold. Thanks for the the information.
Here's a copy of the completion report for this well that was filed with TRRC:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/CMPL/ogmappcontents/cmplcontents/pro...

Testing date was 3/19/10, so the total number of days reflected in that March 2010 production report would seem to be more in the 12-15 days range.

IP was reported at 6.65 mmcfd, but no choke size listed.

If it conceivably was 15 days of production for the month than at 120,592 mcfd reported for 3/10 then the daily average production would have actually been just a bit over 8mmcfd for the period.

Wondering if the numbers on this one have improved as the well has cleaned up, or perhaps the choke was opened up further after the IP testing?

Will be interesting to how April numbers pan out, once those are reported next month.
RRC website shows production of 109,927 mcf for April for an average of 3.66 mmcfd.
Has anyone heard if any pipeline is being laid down into the area of the Whitton well yet? I orginally heard late May, but that does not appear to be so. Sounded like all production testing to date was via truck trailer on reduced choke.
hey bill, the gathering line for the whitton has been being worked on for sometime. it passes across one of my cousins places. i would not think any production would have taken place if the pipeline was not completed.

Hmmm?
I was going off of the information on from Email from someone at Devon. I like the idea of having the gathering line in place. I was actually wondering if a couple of tanker trailers could move the amount of gas they produced. Thank you for the update... wish I could fly out and see the operations again... however too busy here at work to get away.
