Watching the rig workers from the road today (DavidsonBuckle2, SUF). They're still going at it, with drill pipe, and I haven't got a clue.

I don't know who is projecting $24,000,000 but it could be in the ball park considering the drill time and the mechanical problems reported in the SONRIS Lite Well Scout.  At some point in the future Hilcorp will file a form for their Deep Well Incentive and the true cost will be in the public record.

Thanks Skip; and all.  Strange how all this just seemed fall from above; the Davidson2 dries up, and DSCC1 comes in immediately behind.  Another red flag that flew up for me was the projected cost of $24M for the DSCC1 (generic deep vertical) well.  Does it sound kosher or even familiar at all to you guys who are in the business?  Excuse my green (ignorance), if you don't mind

From your prior post, the lease is now expired unless the lease language states that the lease can remain in force through "operations".  In other words the operator could get a new permit to drill while doing anything that meets the definition of "operations".  If no new permit to drill or another attempt to re-complete commences soon your lessee may agree to file the release.  Document what is reported by the state concerning the well with dates, a copy of your lease and a certified letter directing the lessee to file the release.  Get out from under that old 1/16th. lease as soon as possible.

Last (final) production reported on 4/4/14. 
Since they're redrilling now,  how much down
time to nullify 1971 1/6th lease (if new well succeeds)?

That's too bad.  Or maybe not considering that this was the only unit well for 16700 TUSC RA SUF. All mineral leases pooled in that unit that are not held by other production have now expired and the minerals would be available for a new lease.  Those so affected may wish to send their lessee a certified letter requesting a release be filed in the public records.

Ready to drill but not drilling yet.  Most likely waiting on a permit to drill that is in the review process.
