Haven't heard of a meeting but it could come out in this weeks edition. Will look for it. Thanks for the update.

Has anyone heard of a planned meeting to be held on the 23d of Septemberf in San Augustine? The speaker is supposed to have a discussion which will help educate mineral owners about some of the items to watch for when negotiating a lease with oil & gas companies.

Aparently a notice appeared in the Sabine county newspaper but not in the San Augustine Tribune. It seems to me this meeting needs to be promoted.

Well, well, well...San Augustine County has rated an oil & gas discussion board. I knew my Grandfather left us his legacy with the family farm! It's just a matter of time before this Haynesville play busts wide open here. There's too many approved drilling permits, proven gas wells nearby, & $5000 offers floating around for this not to be real. To answer O&G Landman's question, $5000/25% is the highest I've heard. Good luck to all!

Before they get too interested in us, I believe they wanted to finish up leasing acres in Sabine Parish, LA in the sections they wanted to drill in - where they have the big bucks in bonus money and I think they completed those offers last Friday.

Lately I've heard of some people getting offers for $5,000/acre, but the companies are claiming that since it is unproven that they can't bump the price up anymore. Has anyone heard anything new? The Barnett is around $20-28 thou/acre for crossreferencing prices.
