Rabalais 35 No.1 (8.8% Working Interest / 6.6% NRI)

The Rabalais 35 No.1 well Odenburg (south of Simmesport), in the Turner Bayou Chalk project, is currently flowing back fluids injected into the well during completion and drilling mud. Flow back of these fluids is expected to be completed in the next 7-10 days at which time the hydrostatic head (load) will be off the formation and the well can be flow tested for production.

Well, end of January has come, and we do not see a report out by Pryme. Hopefully soon we will all know.

I have been speaking to Severval Minerial buyers for a friend of mines land. Prices have dropt and some are waiting to see what is going to come of the AC a little more solid info. One fellow said that Anadarco is noteven going to go into the TMC. Staying in AC. Dont know why.

Im hearing that Anadarco wells are not any good from TAGCO land leasing head guy. And that Anadarco has not budget any money for new leasing here in Avoyelles for 12. Are the wells here not good as he stated? Is there any other companies i can call to lease my LAnd In Cottonport? The Tagco guy says Woodland Petro is still leasing out of Lafayette. I cant find them on Google to call.

Does not sound encouraging, Robert.  You might try calling the Avoyelles clerk of court's office and they may be able to have a contact for you to Woodland.

Guys, it's not a good idea to contact Woodland or any other broker/operator.  Much better to let them come to you.  If you contact them expect to get their lowest offer if they have any interest at all.  If your minerals are located where they are leasing they will get around to contacting you.

I wonder how far east? Still in Avoyelles? There are some permits to drill in west of Morganza on the Atchaflaya bordering St. Landry Parish.

My wifes family signed a 3 yr. lease with Halcon last night 500 a acre and 25% roy. It is 32 acres in Fith Ward off Business Loop rd. They have interst in Sec. 26. at these time Time will tell.

Halcon is now leasing tracts around Marksville at 500 an acre and 25 percent. What is also interesting is that they appear to be leasing some smaller tracts of ten acres or so, not just the big land owners.

KFH, no need to make the trip if you are willing to spend some time learning your way around the LA state O&G database, SONRIS.  You will find the answer to most of your questions there.  And from the comfort of your home easy chair and computer.  There is no requirement in LA law for an operator to inform you of their intention to drill a well.  You have to exercise some due diligence to track permitting and drilling on your minerals.  Use this link to get started.

the paul 15h reached total depth on the 17th of may and set casing on the 19th.  i don't know if everything was completed on this well and they moved that rig, or if another one was moved in.  we will have to defer to an expert.

It would seem it is wilcox since it is not horizontal. 

And being drilled by Wilcox energy co of natchez, 8,600 feet deep

Midstates drills horizontals into the Wilcox. They were the first that I knew of to do this down around DeQuincy.

The permit had not been entered in the database when I checked earlier.  It will likely be there later today.

Anybody know anything about this well permitted 11/18/2014, by petro-guard, section 17, T25, R3E avoyelles parish  number 248716 named VUA, Eola depth 9100 feet.

VUA is Voluntary Unit A.  That means no force pooling necessary.  All the mineral interests are leased and agreed to the formation of the unit.  The target horizon is the Wilcox Sand.

I see that they are actually re-entering serial number 154571 for the Avoyelles well that was permitted today

The Martin Companies own forest lands and a lot of minerals across central LA.  Their servitude and fee minerals are the base assets of Indigo Resources.  Indigo is an active developer in NW LA drilling Haynesvlle Shale and Cotton Valley wells.

I have no idea, however we are near Evergreen and are leased. I have family there, and they tell me that the well near Goudeau is producing and there are two more permitted. Not sure if they are in Avoyelles or the tip of St. Laundry?

We have had a couple of offers to buy our Royalty interests (Certainly not interested in that!!) Also we got  notice that someone was going to be doing more 3-D Seismograph work  in our area and on our property. Certainly seems to be interest in Avoyelles, whether or not it comes to fruition, remains to be seen.   

I see there was a new well permitted in avoyelles today by menoah petroleum. Says field 9709-wildcat-no la Monroe. Depth is 6800 feet. Serial number 250963. Range 4e, twn 4n section 21. Is that a Wilcox?  

Menoah permit depth is Lower Wilcox. In far north part of the Parish. Permit surrounded by multiple Wilcox dry holesx 

I see that Torrent has permitted a well in avoyelles parish in bayou jack north. 2S, 5E, section 23. SN 251564 at 15624 feet

There is a new entry on serial 251564 dated 08/12/2019-Redrill of SN:154571;locate and dig up well on 7/5/19; cut csg and install wellhead on 7/6/19;finished installing wellhead on7/7/19  well name: AUS RA SUXX;Indigo Minerals  

so, what exactly does that mean?  

Present operator is re-entering the old Moncrief Martin deep well that was plugged in 2010 (SN 154571). Description in SONRIS is exactly what is saying, I.e. they found the plugged well location, dug down to expose the top cap on the casing, cut that off and installed a wellhead.

So, they don't have to do any type of drilling or fracking, but just take over the old well?  

No new drilling (unless they deepen the original well). But they will have to drill out plugs that were set when the original well was P&A'd.

Figure they plan to perforate this old well bore at whatever level (assuming that casing has good cement behind pipe) and test that formation. This may include stimulation efforts.
