North LA Cotton Valley Combo Play

This play will primarily be explored in Jackson and Lincoln parishes. And to a lesser extent, Claiborne and Bienville.

These wells are producing from a combination of multiple Cotton Valley Sand intervals or a combination of Cotton Valley Sands and adjacent sands of the Hosston formation (w/ Upper CV Sands) and Bossier, Haynesville or Gray Sand formations (w/ Lower CV Sands).

Eva, I suggest you call or use the email address to find out who is the appropriate person at Grenadier to answer your specific question.  Then email that person so that you have a record of the contact and hopefully a reply.  If you are under lease and the primary term of the lease is nearing you may not get a definitive answer.  If you are a royalty interest in a Grenadier operated well or unit you should include your personal information contained in your royalty statements.

Can someone tell me what the process is once a well is fracked?  Does it go online or wait for higher prices?

I'm finding few wells that appear to be shut in because of price.  Most of the wells reported as shut in are now actually Waiting On Completion (WOC), in other words on a frac crew.  It is not usual for a well to wait for months before completion operations begin.  One cause, lack of sufficient number of frac crews.  Another, the fact that companies  drilling multiple wells from the same pad save money by fracking two or more wells consecutively.  I often see pairs of wells, 2 or 4, that I suspect are getting a zipper frac.  Pay no attention to the Status Codes 31 and 33 in SONRIS if the well was drilled in the last few months.  Operators use those codes to place wells in reporting limbo and do not actually represent dry or non-productive wells.
