Keith --unforturely not much active in the area these days. As far as what to ask in lease there first has to be activity in leasing which today nothing going on. If you, your sister, and grandchildren are heirs of these mineral I assume deeds have been recorded in County Clerks office of records for this is way the Landsman will be able to locate owners of minerals if a operator has interest in area. With no activity it's fruitless to contact any company. If you are contacted one day about your minerals then ask lots of questions to landsman about who he leasing for and what Formation they interested in. Then get on line here with details -- read post about leasing -- there is lots of information on this site. For present just make sure mineral deeds filed for all owners in family and recorded for record . Hope this helps you for present time. The land rush of 2007/2008 is over and doubt we ever see anything like it in our life time again.

Keith--- something wrong on your coordinates for they are not in NW part of county in Cushing but in the SE part in the Platt/Etoile North area which EOG has several good shale wells just to South of that area. What Survey are your minerals located in? How many net mineral acres your family have? Do you also own surface?
