I've been curious. They did seismic across the south end between Zavalla and Diboll way back last summer. Haven't heard about anything much going on over there yet though. And I know there was some leasing going on at 100.00/acre. One of my customers told me that after I told him about the shale. Maybe a landowner will show up and tell us what's going on.
Haven't seen anything about this well but it's within a mile of the pop-pop nad three others just south of Martinsville. PATZAKIS

Robert, EOG acknowleged that they have the Gammage well and declined to say anything further. The well potential is being held confidential. If it compares to Common Resources Red River 164 which is East across the Attoyac in San Augustine County, it's going to be good, I think. The RR 164 potentialed 13.418 Million cfd.
I wondered if someone could translate this for me. 300 CMFs per day, 130.1 mcf on Monday, 457.7 on Sunday, 106 degrees ,flow rate 293, static psi 76, 19069 accumalated volume.
300 Mcf per Day - gas flow rate of 300 thousand cubic feet per day
130.1 thousand cubic feet produced on Monday
457.7 thousand cubic feet produced on Sunday
Flowing gas temperature at the meter of 106 degrees F
Current gas flow rate of 293 thousand cubic feet per day
Flowing pressure at the meter of 76 psi
Accumulated produced gas volume of 19069 thousand cubic feet (since the meter was reset?)
Les B,
Do you know if that is about average for a Travis Peak well in Nac. County? I also wonder if they can produce in more than one formation? Such as TP, Pettitt, James Lime at the same time.
Travis Peak well production variable to the field in Nac. county. Up in NW part in the Trawick field the wells avg IP ~ 3 mmcfd and in the Central East part in the Martinsville field then avg IP ~ 2mmcfd. There are some wells in Trawick that IP was 6+ mmcfd and as low as 300mcfd, In Martinsville a few IP ` 3.5mmcfd and as low as 200mcfd.
Hill #1H completed couple weeks ago by EOG near the Gammage #1H. They have guards on gates at this well also on FM95. Must be as good as the Gammage. EOG presenly drilling the Pop-Pop and Hassel wells. All 4 within couple miles of each other.
How do I find out how much gas was/is being pulled out of a vertical well that completed 1 month ago, about 7 miles east of Nacogdoches. I think EOG was the company doing the drilling. They have removed the rig, installed 3 big tanks topground, and tanker trucks go down to the site every day. Just wondered how much oil/gas was found.
Elaine Callahan--unless your are landowner and mineral owner in the well you will have to wait until EOG reports data to RRC for public info. If you know some one inside EOG maybe they will tell you something

I don't know. It was pointed out to me that the Newark, E. field is used generically across the Barnette Shale now even though the wells are scattered over numerous counties.
I'll blame it on a sr. moment... I forgot about Naconiche Creek.
"Is this again nomenclature blurring Haynesville=Bossier shale."
Could be... Cabot comes to mind as stating that "it's all Bossier" and it is according to RRC. Haynesville Shale is the lower Bossier.
Interesting new vertical well permit today for Nagodoches Co. Listing 6 formations, including a "wildcat" target with a completion depth 3,000' below the N.Carthage-Bossier Shale:
Samson Lone Star completed the Thelma Lou GU 1 Well No. 1 in the Martinsville Field and the Sean Thomas GU 1 Well No. 1 in the West Douglass Field.
The Thelma hit 11,265 feet, 17 miles east of Nacogdoches and potentialed 3.724 million cubic feet of gas on a 31/64-inch choke.
The Thomas hit 10,346 feet, nine miles northwest of Nacogdoches and potentialed 2.152 million cubic feet of gas on a 40/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak.
EOG Resources completed the Burt Well No. 1 to 11,270 feet, 7.4 miles northeast of Nacogdoches in the Naconiche Creek Field. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 439,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Rodessa Travis Peak Consolidated.
Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Trawick Gas Unit 27 Well No. 103 to 9,010 feet 6.6 miles east of Cushing in the Trawick Field. On a 40/64-inch choke the well flowed with 28 barrels of crude. Production is in the Pettet-Travis Peak Consolidated.
The Trawick Gas Unit 27 Well No.103 has been completed by Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. in the Trawick Field. This well is located 6.6 miles east from Cushing with a depth of 9,010-feet. When gauged on an adjustable choke, the well flowed with 28 barrels of crude. Production is in the Pettet-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.
******
When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the Patzakis Well No.1 potentialed 1.788 million cubic feet of gas. Valence Operating Co. has completed this well 15.9 miles east from Nacogdoches to a depth of 13,560-feet in the Carthage, North Field. Production is in the Bossier Shale formation.
The Grace GU 1 Well No.8 and the Puma Gas Unit 1 Well No.1 have been completed by Samson Lone Star, LLC The No.8 is located 16.5 miles east from Nacogdoches in the Martinsville Field with a depth of 10,661-feet and potentialed 1.429 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 33/64-inch choke. The No.1 is located eight miles southwest from Nacogdoches in the Red Land, North Field with a depth of 11,590-feet and potentialed 441,000 cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 36/64- inch choke. Production for both wells is in the Travis Peak formation.
I was looking around the RRC website for production numbers and was surprised to see that the Hill well has produced somewhere right at 1.4BCF in the first six months yet monthly production has only declined 20% from the first month. What are your thought on this? Restricted choke? Bossier wells declining slower?
Adubu: The Kilgore Herald newspaper has also been publishing the drilling report info. They have been posting it to the business section of their website usually on Sat morning, but sometimes late Friday night. Beats waiting until Sunday from Tyler paper.
ALongview: Do we know whether that first month posted was for a full 30 day period?

By chance, would anyone know if Samson has started drilling the Opie #8 on county road 388 just north of Chireno. It's in the Y'Barbo survey. It was permitted a few months ago. I live about 2 1/2 hrs away and I have an nterest in that unit. Curiosity is getting the best of me.
BTJ: Im in the Totin and Walker surveys. Y'boro is just North of me. Ive not heard antything about the Opie #8 being drilled, but that means nothing. Ask 'jffree1'...'jfrree1' can magically make wells appear from nowhere! LOL!
No, really, jfree1, can accurately update you on any well...
opie--you can always call the RRC office in Kilgore (903 984 3026)and they can tell you if surface casing has been set. Operators must notify RRC within 24 hrs of setting casing pipe which means drilling has started. Need to ID well best give them API # of well you can find it on RRC web site drillimg permit of well.
Does anyone have information on Samson Lone Star drilling plans in the Chireno area?? I have a lease with Samson for my property which is located in the J A Chireno A-17 Survey. I see activity picking up all around Chireno but do not know when I will ever see anything in regards to my lease.

Can someone help me identify the mineral rights we have leased to Petrohawk. I know it was the George Eason property (164 acres) and that it's in the J.A. Chireno A 17. I would like to be able to identify it if it shows up on the reports here.
