My family and i live at the end of Bittersweet Drive next door to the Big Old white house at the end of the street. We bought the house in June of last year and were told by the realtor that we had mineral rights. I need to go to the courthouse to make sure, but according to the title search done when we bought the house, nothing came up. I think we were not approached is because our house the house next door and the house on the other side with the lot next door is considered to be Gibson Acres. If you notice when you drive by the house we are not on blacktop we are on Gravel. We were just annexed into the parish road system in oct-nov of last year.
It sucks that everybody in the neighboorhood signed for $250 considering what the offers are now. Imagine what we could have gotten if we had banded together 6 months ago (not that anybody knew about Haynesville).
