I don't belong to an association but I am trying to start one with my neighborhood. So far, everyone has been open-minded about joining together to garner the best bonus possible. How did you go about contacting the residents in your area? I would appreciate all help!
Good question. I don't have a answer for you, but I think the easiest way would be to ask your preacher to make a statement to the congregation. If everyone notifies their friends, then you have a good start. Also, the more people know about this sight, the easier it will be to set up a time and place where everyone can meet and get organized. I don't think you need a formal "neighborhood association." The idea is to have all the landowner band together and negotiate through one single qualified person. The best way to get the best offer is to ask all the oil companies to make an offer.
They are still in the building process;they sent out a survey of what would we be willing to pay... a flat fee, % of bonus, % of royalty...etc...
A flat free was the winner. How much? haven't got to that yet.... nothing is binding, so I'm just covering all the bases by signing up.
if the fee is to high.......BYE
by covering all the bases..I'm still talking to Basin Mgm Group, contacted Chesapeake & PetroHawk personally, my neck of the woods just formed a group this weekend & I joined it also.

Petrohawk was not interested in my area (Blanchard latex road). Stated that it was too far north for what they are doing at this time.

I think this is close to where you are at. I am not very familiar with Blanchard.
