Jack, I have enjoyed reading your comments on various topics on this web site. I just put it together who jkw3 from Ft Worth is. Suffice to say that you and I are currently engaged in a business dealing in Desoto Parish. Since we are getting ready to sign the assignment for the well currently drilling, I thought I might ask if you would put me on the e-mail list for the Daily Drilling Report. I trust that you and Allen are about to get the documents completed. You should have received 5 fax instructions by now from my siblings.

Sounds good. I was serious about enjoying your comments. It amazes me how negative some folks are to the O & G companies, in spite of the tremendous wealth they are and will be bringing into this area. Some people are never satisfied no matter what. I met the two Hall brothers @ the well site last week and when they realized who I was, Thomas was very chilly for a while. Roland was formal but nice. I stayed and tried to make small talk for a while and when we left we shook hands (Even Thomas). While leaving, I saw a second rig on the horizon, not far away and couldn't tell if it was your rig in Section 16 or a Chesapeake rig further away. Is your rig already drilling Section 16?

jkw3, I see y'all have permitted wells in 19 & 20 of T14N/R12W. Spring Branch owns 28 1/8 unleased acres in S. 32 of T15N/R11W; associates own another 28 1/8 ac. also for a total of 56 1/4ac. Section 32 is a small section (I think about 536 acres) so we have about 10 1/2 % of the section. Petrohawk has the rest of the section and is either permitting, drilling, or completing wells all around us. P'hawk recorded a lease on our minerals from the previous mineral owner a couple weeks ago, a full 3+ months after we recorded our mineral deed. They have offered us $14,500, 25%, & a three year lease, no option period. We are asking $20,000, 25% and three year lease. Your company wouldn't be interested in a non-operated relationship with Petrohawk in Section 32 of T15N/R11W would you?
Best I can tell, this is going to be 15-17 million cu. ft. a day territory with a decent frac. $ 20,000 may sound like a lot and I guess it is, but P'hawk is offering that much for house lots in south Bossier near the Jimmy Davis bridge.
