Unable to respond to you on the discussion thread.
I have phoned and faxed the leasing company and I have only been told 3 times that someone would contact me and no one has. My next job is to send it to them via certified mail. If you have any other suggestions I would appreciate it.
Ok, now that is something I never thought about!!! Yes they would have a copy if they would just send it to me, I kind of doubt it because of privacy laws but more so because this company seems to be an expert on procrastination. Anyway, I will definitely ask, thanks for the obvious tip.
Unbelievable, I got a copy of the lease. Complete with a list of names & other identifyers.

original lease signed in October 1999 ($50 per acre)

previous owner did not renew but several people out here did -- (I have now notified the leasing drilling company that I am the owner and faxed them copies)
there was an option to renew at the end of the primary term for an additional 2 years as I stated before the previous owner did not renew, but the well showed no production from sept 07 til may 08 and then only a minute amount.
Can you help shed some light on this?
Am I stuck? Do I have any say over what the mineral lease?
