    Antsu,
I knew Chesapeake landmen would go to the ends of the world to sign people. But Japan might be a little to far.
  • Antsu-in-Japan

Hahahaa! Thanks for the laugh...you know, Vince Rawls of the Exxon Mobile family is co-owner of a professional basketball team here in the Japanese League. (Met him just last year...nice man!) These guys WILL and DO go to the ends of the world if there is even a remote chance of making a profit...but I guess that's business.

On the local front: my father was born in Shreveport and still has land in the area. He was going to sign back then until I threatened to break both his arms. :-)

    Stay blessed...
  • Dorcheated A1

Poor dad. I hope you didn't do it. Well if your gonna have land, I guess on the world's fourth largest gas deposit is a good place to have it.Let me know if their is something I can do for you here in Shreveport.
Oh, by the way we are having a BBQ on the 27th.I expect to see you there.
    Stay blessed too.
  • Antsu-in-Japan

No, I didn't hurt him. By the way, thank you for the kind offer. I would LOVE to visit the area again (was just in Atlanta two weeks ago!). Unfortunately, I won't be going back to the States until Christmas. I work for a Japanese wedding company...very busy in the fall. Have you ever visited here?
  • Dorcheated A1

    Hello Antsu,
I have not, but I have seen a lot of pictures of it. Very beautiful country with a very rich culture. I love the people of Japan very hard working. And they have a since of honor that makes them a very proud people.
They take care and listen to their parents. Very nice culture. I hope someday I can visit.

    Hi Antsu,
I never say, never. Maybe I can get a little money from the Haynesville Shale and take a vacation. I might at times be a little crude as compared to the Japanese but they are a forgiving people. Never tried Shaki (maybe spelled wrong) what the heck might just buy a bottle of it. Thank's for the invite and of course you alway's have a place to stay here.
  • Antsu-in-Japan

That was very sweet of you! You are not crude at all...very enjoyable chatting with you! Got some friends lined up to take you fishing when you get here...
  • Dorcheated A1

    Hello Antsu,
I know you have some of the best fisherman in the world. The japanese build the best fishing equipment in the world. You should be very proud to be Japanese. I like how everybody takes great pride in their work. I love your game shows they are freaking funniest in the world the Japanese have a great sense of humor. Stay in touch.
    Dorcheated.

    Hello Antsu,
I guess it was your name that threw me off. If you would have been named Betty I might have gotten it right. I'm sorry Anstu, as I was writing you I saw Lisa's comments below. I'm freaking laughing so hard I got tears in my eye's. Wtite her back and tell her the last time you where in the US 15 years ago. Most houses were made of wood and most children didn't have shoes.
  • Dorcheated A1

I'd be like Ernest T Bass in Japan. I'm so out of fashion they would think what hill's did he come from.
  • Dorcheated A1

So is the USA, but nobody ever told my mom. A log house in Japan I like it.
  • Dorcheated A1

Tell me something you might need and I'll send it with him
I'll have him mail it to you.
  • Dorcheated A1

You hang in there somebody is gonna make you a concrete offer probably sooner
that later your sitting on some good land.
  • mooncookie

Sorry to hear some of the drama that CHK has caused. This stuff is as good as money in the bank, but.... the right time will come when the NG $ stabilizes and there will be a perfect opportunity for you.

Bottom line: no matter what people say or think, at the end of the day you gotta do what you think is the best for you (what's it really worth to you = what a person/co. is willing to pay for it, is when the deal should go down...
  • Iris

Thank you! He is one of my two shining stars.

I currently live in Palm Bay, Florida. I am "from" Shreveport & Dallas in that order. About 150 miles no. of Palm Beach & twin sister city of Melbourne. Are there still cows in Palm Beach?
  • widowwoman3

thanks. all i was saying was that i made the decision not to hold out like so many others. we even had a woman in our group that said she could get more so she turned down the 12500 offer and is left with nothing now. just like the housing market couldn't maintain the high prices, the leasing market couldn't maintain the high lease prices so cashing out early worked for me.

    take care
