Thank you Shelley. I checked out Encana and Eagle both. I thought Encana looked a little better, but I guess only time will tell to see who drills more. Let me know if you hear anything more.
I know of the well in Denning that was supposed to be having decent production. I actually live in Dallas so I am kind of out of the loop. Keep me updated on anything new you hear. Thanks!!! Delete Comment
Shelley, this is Farmbrad. I picked up the quote below from arklatex's comments:
ok now i am going to ask a stupid question? What is your e-mail address? I need the one that is not on this site . I did find out a little something.
What's up...email me at timbradberry@att.net
Thanks Shelley. I know you are anxious to get it done. They have not gone away. They need land around you to make a unit. Thinking positive. Have a good weekend.
Rosevine. I think the offers are way low and since they finished up some of the sections Friday in Sabine Parish, as high as 18,500, Chesapeake, XTO and Shell will be coming over in this direction with some bigger offers but it may take a few weeks.
Hey Shelley, I saw your new discussion but unfortunately have nothing to post. I'm sitting patiently awaiting an offer realizing that time is on my side. How's your Encana deal coming?
Thanks for the update. It does seem quiet...Calm before the storm hopefully. I saw where someone was wondering what was going on in Jasper county. They were asking about some deep wells that had been permitted there. That would be good for us.
Hi Shelley...... my uncle was approached recently by a Devon representative. I spoke with him about our property & interest was expressed. Things are too shaky with the deal for my comfort level though. We're on a waiting list of contracts being written. I'll actually believe the deal when it's in ink...
Shelly, Are you asking about the meeting in SA on the 23rd? If so, the speaker is Judon Fambrough. He is a lawyer, lecturer and instructor at A&M in the real estate dept. He was also involved in starting the Texas Land & Mineral Owners Assoc. He has some pretty strong views on mineral owner rights and knows the law concerning those rights.
Hey, Shelly. Things are really quiet right now. A real estate agent in Hemphill told me last week that the landmen have sort of pulled back to get a new plan of attack...he said they have been real surprised at how fast news gets around about lease prices. Ha
I don't think they planned on us old country rubes having computers maybe...or cell phones either, no doubt.
Thank you Shelly. My land is mostly east of Hemphill. One tract is N of 83 near Old Sabinetown and the other is 3 miles SE of Hemphill. There has been some activity around the Sabinetown piece and a little just south of Hemphill. But it looks like I am in a holding pattern for the next couple of weeks anyhow. Things will pick up again once they finish the well units they are working on now. Don't believe otherwise...
please advise as to the phone numbers and names of those individuals in SA to contact from Encana, Devon and Cabot. Also, anyone else you think is a good contact.
Thanks
Thanks Shelly. My land is in the Patterson Survey. Where is yours? Did you sign with Encana or Devon?
If so, can you give us the bonus number?
Do you know anything about the 16,000ft Haynesville wells 5.49 miles NW of San Augustine in the Kimbrow W. survey and 17.5 miles SE of Broaddus in the Hyden, N. Survey. Do you know if they are completed, testing, etc. Who the producer is etc.
Thanks, Paige
I am 1mile south of the Shelby county line and three miles west of Blandlake. To the immediate east of 96. The Patterson Survey. Are you east of 96 and how many miles south of San Augustine?
Yes. It is the JT Patterson survey. Do you think it is more valuable because of the location to Shelby county and also it is close to the eastern border of SA county?
what do you know about Southwestern?
Hi, Shelley. Glad to hear you got something you are satisfied with. Thanks for updating us on your reults. It really helps. Could I ask how your royalties will be based? Will they be based on the price at the well or at the point of sale? Thanks and congrats.
It sure is nerver racking. I think Encana will come through....just a matter of time. They have been to active in our area. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Depending on the weather we may come to SA this Saturday. Have a good one.
Hi,
When I read the Shreveport Times I see neighborhood and homeowners associations grouping together to negotiate leases. There does not seen to be the press coverage in east Texas as there is Louisiana. Are the local papers covering the hayneville shale and leasing?
Southwest has wells in west San Augustine. Are you familar with Cabot Oil and Gas Corp?
Things are good. We escaped without too much damage; a fence down, a few missing shingles, & a big limb on my wifes's Blazer. We evacuated to Broaddus. I got my deer feeders going & planted food plots .... you know, constructive things. Jay was supposed to email a contract last Friday but I still don't have it. I told him to add ya'lls Pooling Clause verbiage to our contract (100% pooled or none at all). He said "no problem". I'll be glad to get this leasing over with. I've got other ventures to move on to. There sure are a lot of approved drilling permits for SA county this year, some to 16000ft. I've got a gut feeling things are going to get pretty interesting in 2009 for SA county. later, Tim
Hey Shelley....hope your Dad is ok. Devon and Encana have my land information. Just waiting to hear. From what I hear Devon is fairly active. Hopefully something will break soon...
Hi Shelly. I hope your Dad is better soon. Not much happening. I think we are waiting for a new Pres. LOL.
Ike didn't do much to us compared to Rita. We were without lights for about 3 days and the top came out of a really big, really old Oak tree. Other than that we are fine.
Devon is still active but they aren't in any big hurry. Everyone in the US is watching to see about this newest bailout plan. Stock prices are keeping things quiet in the leasing arena too. These guys all took a big hit this week and if this new plan doesn't pass soon things could get rough.
Your referring to a comment on the web a while back.
Northern Half of Sabine And San Augustine Counties, Texas
This could be the mother load of gas reserves as to the Haynesville Shale Play. Its going to be high pressure and hot as to bottom hole temperature, but the reserves should be great. When you combine the James Lime, Pettit,Cotton Valley, Haynesville and Smackover potential one should conclude the risk versus reward potential for the counties is very good.
Hey Shelley,
Please don't be sorry about not calling me back, it sounds like you have your hands full with your dad. We have heard nothing. I'm really wondering what's going on. My sister has been too busy to make it back to SA. Anyway, we're still hoping for the best. Take care and I will say a prayer for your father and your family.
God bless...
Hope your Dad is ok Shelley. Pretty slow right now. Looks like I missed out on Encana for now anyway. Who knows they may come back. Just gonna set back and wait. I think our land will lease at some point. Just don't know when. You take care and let me know if you hear anything.
Glad you Dad is better Shelley. I was in SA a couple of weeks ago and it was covered up. I couldn't find a parking place either. They are still there. I am still trying to find out some information about our area. I went in Crimsons office and they had one of our surveys on their list. Haven't heard back from anyone though. Lots of activity in town anyway. That's good. Good to hear from you.
Hey Shelley,
I'm glad your Dad is doing better. Thanks so much for the update. We haven't heard much other than Devon was looking for us right b/f they were told to hold off on buying more leases??? It's good to hear there is still a lot of activity in SA. Thanks again. Take care.
This is a new discovery by Petrohawk. Not as big as the Haynesville I don't think. Discovered around LaSalle county in southwest Texas I think. Someone else probably knows more than I do.
Hey Shelly, I'm good...just waitin for the leasing to start back up! That new field is down south the other side of San Antonio. I think you must have been "speed reading", lol.
Hey Shelley,
The first draft clears in November & we're not having the second clear until Jan '09 for tax purposes. Everything's good down here. We've got additional family members in the process of signing their land that adjoins us so we're still somewhat active. I heard that Encana is about the only O&G left in SA still signing folks. I guess the economy is affecting the oil field too. Hopefully, it will bottom out the 1st quarter '09. I'm pretty concerned about the upcoming national elctions though .... I don't think my guy is going to win. later FB
Shelley,
This is land in the C Hereford Surveys. It crosses the two surveys. Not a large piece of land but it seems like everything else in the area was under lease already. It was left to my wife from her Grandmother so it may have taken a while for them to sort things out? Thanks so much for the info. I also hope it will pick up a bit after the first of the year.
Hey Shelley,
Thanks for checking in. I hope to get down to SA to help my sister get our paper work in order so we can be ready for January! I hope all is well with your family. How is your dad? Thanks for keeping us informed. Take care.
HEy Shelley,
All is quiet. Sounds like it may the the first of next year before things start up again. Let me know if you hear anything. I am watching this site. Take care.
Shelley, my opinion will be worth no more than it costs you to read it. Ha!
Having the activity we've had is much better than not having it. Is everyone going to be able to retire now? No. But if we manage it properly it should be a real good benfit.
Let's all share the info we can to benefit everyone.
Hey Shelly! I was almost in your neighborhood today. I had to visit a place on 705 but it was way, way, way, way down at the bottom, LOL.
Yeah, things are quiet here, too. Still some infill leasing going on but not any new areas, yet. I hear things should pick up in Jan. so lets enjoy the holidays and relax for a little while...it's huntin' season anyhow and you know ya can't get a thing done in either county in Nov. and Dec.!
Hey, how did you get your ranking so high. Mine was over 800 the other day and I deleted some comments and now it's down 70 or 80 points. Boo, I'm jealous (not), LOL.
