Thank you Korie , but there were more out of towners then locals I promise you. Many of the ones on the end of the bleachers were already signed to leases. It hurts but there isn't anything we can do.Some were just being nosey about the numbers.I didn't feel it was the place or time to open up to that.I don't know if you could see the group of guy's and gals right beside the podium or not but they were company people and took some shots at me before the meeting started.Kinda' threw me off .Besides the fact I was nervous as all get out anyway.I didn't feel right about laying out our plan with unknowns in the audience.I may be too cautious but oh well.Better safe then sorry. They haven't shared their plans with us.I will let you know when I figure out the next meeting time and place.I think the croud will be smaller but I wont take that chance again. We certainly feel we are your best chance.I hope you know that I wouldn't tell you that if I didn't mean it.Hope to see you soon.
Snake!
Yea, sneaky looking ones right beside me mumbling back and forth. The one girl was grilling me right before the meeting started.Kinda threw me off but I'll be better prepared next time.
Korie, sorry for the delay in my reply, but I have been quite involved with other matters. In answer to your first question, Jack is not my actual name, but not fictitious either, it is my fathers knick name for my middle. You can't be too careful on this open site. I don't live in beaver creek but I do live with a couple of miles from there. I think Snake has every intention to be good on his word, and I think he will have every chance to prove it when he sets across the negotiation table with his intrest at stake with the assets that have accumulated in SWAMO. I had the chance to attend the first Doyline meeting, looked as though it caught Scott by surprise. When you step up as he has done, if he is in ernest, we should applaud him and watch his back. I don't know snake personaly but I am sure we probably have common friends and maybe we will all have a chance to meet. Good luck Korie and keep me posted, I am in constant research on this and if I come across anything of note, I'll through it your way. Jack.
Hello Korie,
I saw your comments to Perry and looks like you might be in Sec 25 T19 R9. I have land there that runs along the south side of BC. I went to a meeting last week with the Beech Springs group. and I've helped them set up a website. I 've looked at SWAMO as well. Good points with both. SWAMO could end up really really big, but I'm not sure there is a lot of bargaining power for lots of acreages spread out in small patches all around. The successes in Ft Worth area and in Shreveport have been with good, tigh tcoverage of sections (640 acres). Beech Springs will take a while to get it all together, but I think we have that time to work with and to focus on the sections SE of Minden. I personally believe delivering good tight sections of land to the bargaining table will result in a good result. SWAMO may get a great deal for some of its members, but I suspect the O&Gs might easily select out the blocks (probably well-covered sections) that they want. I doubt SWAMO could ever pitch all their acreage as "take it all or nothing." Since you certainly didn't ask my opinion, I apologize for bending your ear on this. I'm hoping to learn who is in "my" section and I'm inviting them to our site. If you are not in my section--sorry! I've posted really good section maps to the area between 531 and Harris Rd. The website is http://beechsprings.info
Thanks Korie,
How have you been doing ?
Hope things are going well. I am sorry we havent gotten together again but it is so difficult with the current situations. We at least need to get the group together before the Holidays sneak up on us. They are just around the corner. Have a great day Korie and thanks again.
