Hello, How's you doing? I have not been on here in a while and was just checking in. Working in Shreveport now - have been for about a month. Skipper and I are going to try to get together for lunch next week.
I sure don't mind listening to you, fellow, even if I see it just the opposite. I usually think conservative when it comes to money..I think we have blame dodgers on both sides of the aisle when it comes to politics.
hi,
this is a great site -- I'm looking for insights you might have on process improvement and knowledge transfer in the oil & gas industry - just point me in the right direction : )
any advice appreciated!! thanks, kristine
We're okay, too! Electricity blinked off and on so fast, I didn't even have to reset the clocks! Hailed here too, but like you said, no roof damage claims, not even a new paint and body for the truck. Just some thunder claps that brought me about six inches out of my seat!!! Glad yall are okay -- Heard last report that Doyline/Sibley might see some twister action, then cable went out.
I heard there were new neighbors. Maybe we'll come out 2nite and get away for a moment. Work is crazy!! Need beer break -- asap!
Keep me posted on bowling. I suck at it, but its just so dang fun! Have a great day (Good Friday) and look for us down the road! --Tam
Wouldn't it be cool to have a shalebration with each person bringing his/her favorite dish.
Anyway, the corn is VERY easy. Just pull the husks back (but leave them in place) and take off the silk. Wash the corn and season it with your favorite spices. I often use fresh basil and a little sea salt and butter... sometimes BBQ seasoning for a smokey flavor or even chili pepper seasoning when I want to spice up my dinner. Pull the husk back up to cover the corn kernels; tie it with a string and bake it in the oven on medium to low heat for about 20-25 minutes. It is the BEST corn I have ever tasted!!! (Though the husk may brown a little bit, the corn inside should be OK!! Just don't let anything catch on fire...)
Well, I guess I'm proud of you, it is difficult at times I know -- easier for me cause I was in Texas for a week & stayed away from the internet period. Looks like I didn't miss much on GHS...oops didn't say that did I?
Did you say "beers"? ...and "fishing"? LOL -- Work is too much! Its taken control of my life. I gotta get control of it back! All work and no play makes Tam-Tam a B@#%*!!!! I promise we will take you and Ashley up on that offer soon. We didn't make it down there this weekend -- once I got all the work done, I was too tired!! Go figure!
Thank you, kind sir. We are actually leaving early in the morning for our annual post-tax season vacation. Going to NJ to see the hubby's family and home via KY to see my twin sister. Be back on the 14 or so.
First, H. mentioned it in the discussion about parker being Shaler of the Month. Also, he mentioned the rule & strategy change awhile back. Go to the "Ya'll" tab, click on "Monthly Featured." Have a good laugh, I've been trying to get down from there for awhile now. ha, ha, ha
BTW - I forgot to say to pay the congratulations forward. :0)
Hey Dch! How was the trip ? We have been playing a little phone tag of late havent we ? LOL
KK's got her a new car finally & I am done with schooling for now so things should settle back out some. Give me a shout when you get a chance.
Sorry, DC, but the only stage I will exit is your & my "friends" page. I will always be who & what I am and, as you say, call out abuse when I perceive it. Not an act. And since you chose to characterize me as stupid, silly, troublemaker (in the past), etc., I will do as I do in real life and be civil & polite to you in the "neighborhood," but not allow you into my personal space.
DC - You said it, I did it ... exit stage left. You couldn't even respect Keiths post previous to yours (by a full hour). He said ...
"I just ask that we remain respectful and when we disagree we diagree and we leave it at that."
If this is what happens when people want you to keep your word, I want no part of it. I really have no hurt feelings, I didn't delete you as a friend because my feelings were hurt. Actually, I'm glad to know what you honestly think of me, and I'm relieved to be done with it. You make a lot of presumptions about me for someone who isn't even sure if I'm sesport or Johnny Ringo or whoever.
DC - It is finished, that's all. Maybe if you go back and reread Mr. Krow's final (I think) post where he brings up divisivness, maybe he can explain it better than I'm getting across to you.
But, no, you weren't the only other person to whom I was posting, you were not singled out. No loose baggage here, either. See ya' on the front pages.
Thanks, Pat. Sometimes we forget that there are interested members who are observing our discussions. A fair number are starting from scratch. It can be pretty overwhelming particularly when some of the knowledgeable members start a serious debate and use all the lingo. They know what they are saying but many members are left out. It is good to remember that those who need the information most, know the least about the industry and this play. Regards, Skip
DC - I have my comment wall set on "Approval" so posters couldn't play "Post & Delete" while I'm at work. I have your comments, I'll give you the choice. Do you want them posted or deleted?
Okay, I'll do a better job driving down that 2-way street. I give my word that
1. I won't ever call you names.
2. I won't hurl profanities or obscenities at you.
3. I won't ever tell you to get off a discussion, blog or this website.
Hey Bro! Just trying to get back in the swing of things. I may have been a little over the top with the "HO" thing. Whatcha think ? Kinda scared to look at the responces I seem to have drawn.
Good evening, DC. I thought I'd come back here to say sorry to hear you're not feeling well & hope you had a wonderfully relaxing Fadder's Day spent fishing or tending your 'maters, or whatever your heart desired. Sincerely.
What???? Your butt's worked off ... people are knocked out ... what kind of business are you in, anyway? lol
You & your guys take extreme care in this heat. Frequent breaks, lots of Gatorade. Come to think of it, Gatorade might help with that other ailment, too. ha, ha
Since Cathy chose to contact us, I would guess that it's not privacy she seeks but comfort from friends. I just don't know how she might feel about posting her tragedy on the site. If you know of any other members who received her private email, you might get some additional opinions. Particularly some female opinions.
Mr.Dorcheat Al, I did not realize you lived in Doyline. So close to Snake, I'm sorry. Just kidding. Snakes a good guy. My best freind is married to Snakes sister. I'm in Doyline all the time. I would like to become one of you freinds, I like your blogs! Joe Dyer
Hey bro! Didnt want people to tell you I was on here without dropping by to say Hi. Talk attcha later. Whats up for this weekend ? Did you hear about Clarkes Marina ? Straight line winds ripped the roof off some days back. I caught it third person. You know how that goes. Catch you on the 'Book if I dont see you here.
Would you mind the Ark-La-Tex Chapter of the GHS.com Girls Grabblin & Noodlin Association meeting at your house for the next few weeks? We need a body of water, some humongus catfish, and perhaps a little tower-type thing so King John can coach the girls while I videotape everything.
Have you ever heard of grabblin, noodlin or hawggin? Check out the video links jffree posted in the Out of Gas Group - I'd never seen nor heard of that before. You do so much fishing, with this plan you would never need a pole!! LOL!
This could very well be the last polar bear on earth (Is it me or is it hot in here?), take good care of him - his life, my life, survival of the whole universe is in your hands now.
What???? Another year older??? Okay, your gift is that I donated for YOU to MY favorite political party! lol
May you have all of what you need, most of what you want, and a wonderful day celebrating.
best, sincerely - 80)
PS - Don't get hoodwinked into going to the bank today. lol
