Les, Comstock has leased S27,T8N,R13W. LA 191 runs through it but that doesn't tell me exactly where it is. Can you help with more information? It would be greatly appreciated. And, have you heard of any unit or drilling in the future in that area. Thank you, Barbara.

    Les B,
I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your question of 7/1/10 about the rig in Sec 7, T 12 N, R 8 W. My computer died! Got a new one now, though, so here we go. As of last weekend, the rig was still up.
  • June Wells

    Thanks Les.

Hi Les, today my husband spoke with someone from PetroHawk who said they would offer us $5000 per acre for our 17.5 acres in S5, T13n R15W. We told him we wanted $8 what do you think? take it or? HELP!
  • ken hatcher

Are you still updating the Drillind rig locations?
  • Lisa Weaver Smith

hi les thank you for the info on the breedlove well are these good numbers?
  • Lisa Weaver Smith

Hey Les, thank you so much for thinking of me!! We are so exctied but are a little confused. I talked with Adam from Samson a few weeks ago and he said the well went online the end of May and that they would be submiting payments within 90 days or have to pay interest if they go over. Well it is over 90 days and still nothing in fact i have yet to recieve my division orders from samson although I did from Phillips energey. I talked to Jill from Phillips and she thinks they might go ahead and send out checks and then division orders...what do you think ? Also do you know if rorilty checks come registered mail?
  • Skip Peel - Mineral Consultant

Les, I hope you are on vacation because it seems like longer than ten days since you have posted. There is a new discussion on stacked laterals waiting for you. With permits and plats. LOL!
  • RONNY

    Les B,
Sorry about the slow response, I just now saw this comment. I had noticed this well came in kinda puny. As Jay says must not be good "rock" Hope it's better on the south side of the lake. I'm in 17n 15w sec 12. Chesapeake has proposed a unit for us. May get drilled next year. If they don't spud by July 2011 they'll owe some $17,500 lease renewals for some of my neighbors. Thanks for the heads up!

Les, I think you meant to say that, "Mineral owners are not typically notified ......".
  • Dallas J. Bryan

Les, Thanks for the information. I've been hearing that the well is still producing alot of water. Is that anything to be concerned about?
  • Dallas J. Bryan

Les, Thanks for the quick response. I didn't know about the water. What do you think on the production numbers? Fair? Average? What do you think?
  • Dallas J. Bryan

Les, when you get the information. If you would keep me posted, as to how they are doing. Thanks again, Dallas

Hello Les.  Seitel completed Seismic testing back in November on our place.  Now they are back doing more testing.   Our land is less than 3 miles South of the Blackstone A-17 well Encana is drilling in SA County. Any idea what this might indicate?

    Thanks Les.

  • JWC

Ok.  That makes sense.  Thanks for the reply Les.
  • JWC

I saw the Shelby and Dos Equis on the Seitel website Les.  Is that what you are referring to?  Our land is a little South of those Surveys in the Z. Redmond and A. Hotchkiss surveys.  Confused as to what is going on there.  Hoping they found something they liked and maybe getting additional data.  I am also wondering if Encana might be requesting this?   I am hearing they may move South.
  • Parkdota

Les, it appears that well #241502 came in over 30mcf/day for 1st full month.  It shows a 2 well count yet subtracting #239169 still leaves 30mcf/day for 1st full month.  Is this right?
  • Lori

    Les,

Do you know anything about C1SN #30298?

    Thanks

  • Lori

The well 30298 is in San Augustine County, and on the JW Parcel A-424
  • Kenneth Webb

    Les,

Thanks for all of the insightful information that you share on this site.  Can you educate me on the following question.  If an operator currently has a producing well in a given section, would they have to get new permits to drill additional wells in that same section?

Thanks , your are proberly correct (usually are),  Drilling Rig Location foe May 14, 2011 shows #Rig 48 in sec 12 17N 15W. I am in 14 and have not even seen a pad in sec 12 and the Rig on 22 has moved off.

Sorry to bother you so much, but I was raised in the oil patch, my Dad was a drilling contractor in 40"s and 50 and this stuff is still in my blood.

    Thanks again, Gale Bagley

  • ken hatcher

Les, do they put the big wellhead on before or after the frac?....Thanks
  • Spring Branch,mineral owner

Les, I own some minerals in 11/11, Section 23 and am in negotiations with Chesapeake to lease 57.5 acres.  We had an agreement and on the day before closing they decided they wanted to change some of the terms.  Anyhow, I drove down there from Shreveport on Saturday just to check things out.  CHK has permitted wells in 11/11 Section 14 and 23, with both to be drilled on a well pad in the south of Section 14. (370' FSL of 14).  Sonris shows that the Fitzgerald 14-11-11H was spud on 4/12/2011, which would be about 10 weeks ago.  Surely that is more than ample time to have reached TD on Section 14.  I suspect they are now drilling Section 23 on the same pad.  Saturday, Nomac 56 was on the pad and drilling away.  I do not find Nomac 56 on either 11/11, 14 or 23 on your recent drilling rig locations.  Any way for me to find out if Nomac 56 is drilling Section 23 at the present time?

  • azrealtor

Hi Les!  I'm aware of the rig, thanks!  You're so on top of things!  I was talking to another member on this site and they said it probably spud by now.  Any way to

know for sure?  Our lease expires 9/29 with a two year option, it would be nice to get another bonus.  :)   Either way, I'm glad they're finally moving on it.

  • azrealtor

Ok. Thanks... Again!!  Everyone is so helpful on this site. I'll pull out my lease and check the terminology used.
