A lot of people don't know their township and range, much less their section. This is so new to most people that they aren't familiar with this type of terminology. Maybe we can get a terminology thread going.
KayBaby, I received your email where you ask that we describe describe our property as section and township and range. I would like to do that, but in my area the divisions are not square and I'm having a hard reading the maps.
I tried to place an X over my area. If you can help me determine section, township, range, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
Hello, KayBaby. I provide copies of legal documents from parish court houses and state mandated reports and applications by O&G companies from the LA. State Department of Natural Resources/Office of Conservation Shreveport District office. The documents are key to understanding and managing a mineral estate. I work on a day rate with additional charges for travel and document copies. If you point to "Sponsors" at the top of the main page and then click on my name, you will see the parishes that I cover. All except Natchitoches are close enough for me to cover at my minimum charge of $75 for two hours work. If I have sufficient advance information (names, approximate dates, property descriptions, etc.) a basic search can be conducted in that time. Under that scenario, my average charge is around $100 - $120 dollars inclusive of mileage, copies and any forwarding charge. I will be happy to discuss your particular needs and give you an estimate. Please contact me at your convenience. Skip
