OLYMAN, I have speculated in the past that The Times gets the data for their Sunday Oil & Gas News article from the paper records at the LA. Office of Conservation District 6 office in Shreveport.  And that well permits often show up later on SONRIS Lite.  Others have stated that they do not believe that to be the case.  I will be in the district office tomorrow and I will ask.  Skip

Hey there Tim! Thanks for that info. I have been watching Sonris (not quite as often though) looking for the alts to show up and also for my friend you scouted for on Bolivar Road. I had checked last week and did not see any new ones for us. I did not know that the Deanna Sistrunk wells were going into our sec 9. I did see that one last week when I checked. I now have kind of figured out that the # behind the well name followed by an H tells the section the wells will be drilled into "H"orizontally. Those were permitted 2/01. Learn something new everyday. Do you know how that works as far as drilling in one section but going horizontally into another? Will both sections get paid?

When were the sec 9 alts permitted? Thanks for the heads up and it is great news. You are not kidding about the price of gas needing to go up. I also do not figure out how they are constantly adjusting the royalties, volume & price, for several months down the road. But, super grateful what I do get.
