The easiest thing to do would be to contact Samson and ask them what the status is on your lease. If they say it is expired, ask them to file a release. But you may have to put that request in writing to get them to comply. If they say you are drilled, ask them for the well name and API number and tell them you would like a copy of the unit designation listing your lease as part of the unit. Then, if you are in a unit, you will receive a division order at some point.
btj, are you sure your lease expired? I mean, did you go to the courthouse and check Samson's Unit Designations to make sure you weren't included in a unit? Or, did you ask Samson to file a release, since the term has expired? If you will do that it will give notice in the clerk's office that you are not under lease now.
btj, Opie #8 has not drilled yet. The unit is now HBP by the Opie #1, producing from the Martinsville (Travis Peak) so they are not under any pressure to drill an additional well in the unit. The permit is good for two years.
btj: I would like to invite you to join a new group Cass County. I started this group in hopes we can grow and prosper. Hopefully we can share knowledge about the Haynesville and other oil and gas info for the area that will be a benefit to all.
btj, I was raised in N.S'port, and own land north of there. Know a few folks up that way too. My brother has land east of Jefferson in Marion County. He and I both worked in Texas and south La. Both of us went north for jobs. Having just moved back and joined this page I thought I'd connect with a few like-minded folks who hunt-fish. That land in Marion even holds quail every once in a while. Drop me a line anytime.
Hi, I work for a small Oil and Gas Co. that is actively leaseing in your area of Harrison County.
Please drop me an email at your earliest convenience . Thanks, Candice
btj, I have offers from Devon and Penn Virginia for Southern Marion County property so far at $500 acre & 1/5. So at least Southern Marion County is warming up.
Also I have property in Northern Marion county that neither company is interested in at this time.
