I just found your comments to me. Sorry about that, not real familiar with this ins & outs of this website. Don't know much about the Messenger well other that what's being said on this website. Most of that is pure speculation and BS. Sounds like it was a test well to determine the thickness of the shale to me. Strictly vertical. Now that they know what's there, they probably will try horizontal. The Messenger well in Red River parish that I mentioned earlier is probably horizontal. I'll have to check and see since it is not on SONRIS yet.
My family and I own property in Goldonna probably not far from yours. We also own even more land in Red River parish where things are starting to get interesting. I'll keep you posted on anything happening in Goldonna. The seismograph people are setting off their explosives now. They started at the RR parish line and are working east. Today they are between Ashland and Readhimer and are supposed to be in the Goldonna area in late Sept. or Oct.
Due to my situation, I'm fairly familiar with the O&G business in this area, though not directly. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll try to find answers for you.
Hey Natch,
I hope everything is going good for you today!
I may be missing something but I can't seem to find the Natchitoches parish groop. Last night after I got home it wasn't there, and the same thing today.
I had to go to Shreveport late yesterday evening and just before 7:00 I passed by the Messanger well and took a couple of pic. with my phone. It was too far away so you couldn't see anything, if I would have been about an hour later it would have been better light and may have stood out better. Talk to ya later.
Jim
Thanks....when I took that pic, there was a stiff wind ENE wind, say 25 mph in that open field. I think it's possible the flame or flare maybe bigger but was wind blown and/or the flare was sheared at the top. I would estimate that flare to be about as long as door or a door and 1/2. Again, that pic was taken off I-49 and there's quite a distance from it. Todd can attest to that. Our local paper may run my pic in the days ahead. The editor looked at it today. Again, thanks for the reply back.
Yep sure did. What is the deal with Jay and that guy Jim. Where did he come from all of a sudden. I just posted and told him that I did not see where he answered any questions or really told us anything. I asked him about Goldonna it will be interesting to see if he answers.

This should bode well for at least (and hopefully all of Natchitoches Parish) northern Natchitoches Parish, LA
Natch,
We are proud to have you as a honorary member. Snake told me he sent you shirt and you deserve one, everybody loves you post you put a lot of thought into them and it shows.
Thanks for the info....I'm having enough trouble keeping up with Webster parish. The info changes so quickly. My family signed a seismic contract a few years ago. Glad to see the O&G are proactive in the area. That gives me some faith. Appreciate ya'!!
I got yaur note and here is what I was told about the well in Winn parish, Sec24 tn13N R4W It was drilled to 6700 ft code 32(dry hole) As of 6-10-08 it was to be plugged and abandened, most wells show completion date and the P&A date however this one does not. I went out to the site a couple a weeks ago to have a look see for my self. There was no signs or any kind of info there, and the well had a simple flange bolted on. The rest of the site was still in tact. This is all that I have found out.
Have you heard anything interesting around our area? As the crow flies its only about 15 miles from my place in Saline to Goldonna. As I go about my work and take different roads around the differant areas and see the differant well sites (most of them new) I have went back to the map and have noticed most of them are about the same general area North to South as our land is, we are just a little more east. There is a new well in Red River parish ,Hall Sumitt the Sneed well Ser #236726 it is a Cotton Vally well but I am very interested in what it will end up doing, they have fracked it and have the stakes down for the pipe line. It too is west of here, and there are several new wells NE of there and in southeren Webester parish. I think it is just a matter of time for the o/g co to work over to us.
Thanks for the info Natch. I read the whole report . There is a lot of good dope on it, but it looks like the Canucks are shooting nice low figures out. I like the idea that they think they can still make a buck on the play. Its good for everybody to see the down-side compared the best senario.

Why can't some people realize that some of this take this site seriously, and we do not appreciate their practical jokes?
