Not sure my opinion is any better than speculation but... We are only 2 weeks in Natchitoches Parish and at current in a limited area. This too is subject to change/evolve. I'll update as the area of interest expands; but, to answer your question, we aren't in 12-12-6 at present.
I just talked with the guy that sent me the contract. He said this contract would not effect our rights to accept a lease. He also said several o/g companies were looking at our area. The big one is Chesapeake. Also, they s/b through with our test by November. The 18 mths is only incase they have trouble getting in there because of the weather.
Natch, I signed a seismic contract on a property in western Bienville Parish last month. No word on when they will actually do the survey. I only have mineral rights on the property in Natchitoches Parish and I don't know if the surface owner has seen any seismic paperwork. I'll ask him next time I talk to him.
When they are saying 10, 10 they are talking about the Township as 10 and the range being 10 or 8 where the Messenger well is located. We are in Township 12 N, Range 6W, Section 12. If we were 12,12 we would be located toward Red River or DeSoto Parish. I look at the Townships on Sonris as a whole on the whole Nat Map.
No did not make it to the meeting. Waiting like everyone else hoping our area will be of more interest in the near future. The Messenger well they pretty much knew that there was gas there already so no big surprise they found it again just hope this brings us more into play and prices to go up.
Natch, actually I live out of state. I am tracking the Haynesville Shale because I know people in RR Parish and have professional interest in following US natural gas production.
