I just received a call from Twin Cities informing me that my contract was ready to sign! To my knowledge, I have no contract. I did go to Primitive Baptist Church one evening and put down our contact information, but certainly made no committment to them. I had heard that July 1st started a new fiscal year for Chesapeake and that more money would be available for leases. Seems that was one rumor that was true! I informed the landman that not only would I not be signing a lease at this time but that our association in this area had committments of nearly 150 acres and we would be taking offers. I asked him if he was interested in our dirt! His response was that he would turn the information over to his SUPERVISOR and would be back in touch with me. Did anyone else in the Blanchard area
get the same call?
We had 18 home owners from the Shreveport-Blanchard Highway area to show up Sunday afternoon. They went home and told their neighbors about the meeting and my phone has been ringing off the wall today! We will meet here again on June 29th and I think that we will easily double last Sunday's attendance. We tallied up the number of acres represented by the attendees as well as those that couldn't be present. As of now, we have approximately 80 acres committed to our coalition. I expect that we will far exceed 120 acres by the end of this week. Look out O & G guys, we have the numbers and are vigorously working on a list of clauses to be incorporated into our contracts. You will find that we are a formidable band of "simple country bumpkins"!
I have no idea how many will show up for the meeting on Sunday afternoon. All residents of the Blanchard area are welcome to come. We have been emailing and calling everyone that we know to inform them of this meeting. We have also put up signs. I have not been contacted by Goodrich. We have no homeowner's association name as of now. Visconte, please feel free to join us Sunday afternoon at 4. Maybe we could exchange ideas with your association. There is power in numbers and the more people that band together, the higher the numbers ($$$$$) will be!
Do you belong to a homeowners association? If so, what is the name. I am trying to organize the Northwood Hills, Indian Hills and Northwood Trace subdivisions.
