Howdy All,
I have an interest in the Olympia Fields unit. We are still waiting on production numbers from the original well and now see that a second well is being permitted. I just wanted to see if anybody had any intel on production numbers for the original well.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. We are not hearing anything yet from Pine Wave.
The plat for the second well is attached. I would appreciate any input on what to expect going forward. For example, the proposed well diagram in the upper left corner....do I interpret that as plans for additional wells? Is it unusual to drill this close and this soon to a newly producing well? Can I assume the production numbers are good on the original based on the new drill?
ALso, is it unusual to expand the unit to include other parties for the second well that weren't included on the first?
I would appreciate any information or observations. Thanks in advance!

JR, drilling units in Texas get adjusted in size and shape fairly regularly. It makes it difficult to predict slots for future wells. Only when you review the surrounding units can you determine that a unit's boundary is locked in. I'll leave the remainder of your questions to members better able to answer them. Thanks for posting in the San Augustine Group.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
